I am so pleased to say that I have been approached by a buyer from the Urban Outfitters sub-division ANTHROPLOGIE. I am very excited to be doing business with them. The buyer was in Vancouver, setting up for their new store there  (2912 Granville St.) and she wanted a bunch of my Party Glasses for their store opening. They were so pleased that they have placed a massive order that I am now in the proccess of filling. By late October you will even be able to purchase these online at Anthopologie.com

Wow! What can I say about these NEW "Party Glasses". They are awesome! Each one will somehow find a way to conform to your hand. I have sold to a number of clients who enjoy these glasses for their arthritic hands.  Originally these beautiful little high ball size glasses (8oz.ish) were made for my neighbour Al, who has bad arthistis and he says, "These are the nicest glasses I've ever held." I made a few in clear glass for him a couple of years ago and then made a few more for friends and more and more until last year while Carolyn and I were staying at this great little B&B on Saltspring Island. Monivea is this an awesome little place run by John and Wendy, both talented artists in their own right. They saw my glasses and asked if I could do them in my brighter colours for use in their B&B and I said I'd try. Here we are today, making hundreds of thes every weekParty Glasses by Ted Jolda

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
BC ferries promo

Local Oceanside artist Ted Jolda’s now infamous luminescent pears have won over the hearts of thousands, from celebrities like Oprah to the littlest child amongst us.

On October 26th, the BC Ferries Passages gift shops are releasing a custom version of one of Jolda’s most popular selling Christmas ornaments – the classic fig. The BC Ferries version is smaller than the original, rich voilet bottom transfering up into a vibrant green, topped off with a little brown cap...

Splash 2007
Ted Jolda and Carolyn Lutz attend the Arts Umbrella's 25th annual fundraiser "Splash". Ted's donation, a "Sprit Vessel" sold at auction for an excellent $3000. The Arts Umbrella is one of the many charities that Ted supports through out the year. Arts Umbrella  is a Vancouver arts organization that works with more than 50,000 children annually.

NEW NEW NEW!

Golf Balls, Curling Rocks, Pomegranates and more. These are some of  the NEW ornaments this year! Pictures coming soon!

"Funky Cups" are Ted's newest goblet design! As one of Canada's  premier goblet makers Ted has designed a series of BOLD new goblets. Using a combination of vibrant new colours and traditional techniques Ted has reinvented the classic Venetian style goblet. The new 'beaten' bell allows for a greater play of light with the glass and it contents. A must have for any wine enthusiast.

Guess who bought a Lescou from the Guild Shop in Toronto last June? That's right! Fmr. Pres. Bill Clinton! Here he is graciously posing with the Guild Shop staff
