Creamy Pasta Sauce*

Equal part, lets say a cup but this expands easily
Good grated Parmesan (not that nasty dried stuff in a green tube)
room temperature soft butter
cream cheese
salt and pepper
basil fresh or dried

This is sooooo easy, take a cup each of the cheeses and butter and blend them together. Food processor or Kitchen aid or if you are feeling strong by hand.  A couple of tablespoons of basil, more or less if you like. and salt and pepper to taste. Put in an air tight jar and refrigerate. I don't know how long this should last, but I tend to use it up pretty quickly.

When you come to make your pasta just add a few spoonful's of this mixture to the cooked and drained and still hot pasta and mix it in. DONE! it's brilliant.

Now play with it, pan fry some mushrooms, add shrimp or prawns, scallops, perhaps green onion, sun dried tomatoes? Sure why not?
dry roasted peanuts and caramelized onions, you bet!

It is an incredibly versatile base, have fun and play with this one!
